K. Everett Says He's Determined to Continue Progressing in Rehabilitation

Injured Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett said he's "determined" to continue the progress he's made since suffering a life-threatening spinal cord injury in the opening game of the season.

"I have shown significant progress in my recovery," Everett said in a written statement. "But I am also fully aware that the recovery from this type of injury I have sustained is filled with many peaks and valleys. While the road to recovery is long and hard, I am determined to fight through it each and every day."

Everett, rehabilitating at a Houston hospital, has been able to take a few steps with a walker.

"I maintain a positive attitude and feel fortunate every day that I am alive and well," he said....
