Knee Injury Ends Vilma's Season
The New York Jets placed linebacker Jonathan Vilma on the injured reserve list today, ending his season.
There were reports last week that Vilma would have to undergo season-ending surgery for a knee injury. Vilma was in and out of the Jets' lineup last weekend, later claiming that it was a coach's decision and his injury was not a factor. But Coach Eric Mangini said that a knee injury was bothering Vilma and the linebacker was undergoing further medical evaluation.
