Police Reportedly Cite Jaguars' Barnes for Leaving Scene of Accident

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Khalif Barnes reportedly abandoned his car after a single-car accident near his home Saturday morning.

According to the Florida Times-Union, Barnes crashed his 2007 Mercedes into a tree while en route to receiving treatment from the Jaguars' medical staff for an ankle injury. Police cited Barnes for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and not driving for work purposes as required by the terms of his probation for a previous drunk driving arrest.

"I realize I used poor judgment, and I should have stayed with the car," Barnes told the newspaper.

I dunno, but isn't driving to see your employer's medical staff for an injury received on the job and one that is preventing you from working, well, 'work related'? silly.

Agreed Northzax. In football terms that's known as piling-on. He's in enough trouble for leaving the scene.
