Romo Agrees to Big Contract Extension With Cowboys

Quarterback Tony Romo has agreed to a six-year contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys worth about $68 million, an NFL source said.

The deal contains approximately $30 million in guaranteed money and keeps Romo from being an unrestricted free agent next spring.

Romo reached the Pro Bowl last season after taking over for Drew Bledsoe as the Cowboys' starter. He is the league's sixth-rated passer this season and has led the Cowboys to a record of 6-1.
