Week 9 Rankings
How subjective are these rankings? This subjective: The Chargers move up to third based on little more than a feeling that they're back, that they've returned to being the team they were expected to be entering the season. The Saints climb to 12th based on a similar inkling. The Redskins and Broncos drop. Nothing changes at the very top or the very bottom.

Thanks for the nice words Mark, but I have to agree with pack4life.
Consider the above, plus:
the packers beat the chargers.
I've been a BoltsFan all my life and I don't get too excited by one or two games anymore ... it hurts too much later.

I think the measure is if the Bolts and Packers met on a neutral field who would win. Mark is right. The Chargers would win that game in week 9 by a touchdown. I'd have the Steelers at 3 and the Titans down around 9.
As for overtime, I'd make the overtime 10 minutes and play it to completion. Both teams would get a shot and we could have more end of game heroics, which is always fun to watch.

Here you go, again. I am now convinced you are a Packer hater. How can you you justify in any way puting a 4-3 team ahead of a 6-1. You can't no way no how.

yeah, I agree with the others, I'd put the Pack above the Giants.
Also, I think you've got the Titans too high. They just barely beat my miserable Raiders at home. I'd flip Steelers and Titans.

The comments you guys are making are all valid. That's all these rankings are really for, to have some fun and generate some debate. Some people might put a lot of stock into this team beat that team in Week 3. I don't always do that. I put some stock into it, yes. But in the case of a team like the Chargers or Giants that is playing a lot differently than it did in the first few weeks of the season, I give more weight to current level of play. It's not like I have the Packers ranked 25th. I have them as the sixth-best team in the NFL. I just happen to think the Chargers, Cowboys and Giants are right now, this week, better than them. Not overwhelmingly better, but better. You are welcome to disagree.

thanks mark, i can respect your effort but really have to disagree with your claim that the giants are better than the pack. who have the new york football giants beat? the skins, in a game that we all can agree the skins probably should have won. philly, a legitimate win, though at home. jets, atlanta, san francisco and miami...please.
GB has beaten philly, GIANTS, bolts - all legit teams...vikes and denver on the road along with those pesky skins.
GB has an easier remaining schedule and are actually two games ahead of giants in the playoff race.
you need to check this, or become a lost pundit.

Not sure if you read these comments or not, but how about this as an answer to sudden death and the coin flip: the first team to score a TOUCHDOWN wins? No field goals allowed.
