Bears Lose C. Benson for Rest of Season

Chicago Bears tailback Cedric Benson will undergo surgery on his left leg and miss the remainder of the season, Coach Lovie Smith announced today.

Benson was hurt in Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos.

Adrian Peterson takes over as the starter with Benson headed to the injured reserve list.
