Chiefs Expect to be Without L. Johnson This Weekend
The Kansas City Chiefs almost certainly will be without tailback Larry Johnson for at least one week.
Coach Herman Edwards said during a news conference today it's highly unlikely that Johnson will play this weekend against the Denver Broncos because of an injured right foot.
Johnson has undergone tests for what's being called a midfoot injury suffered during last Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers. It's possible that Johnson will be sidelined for an extended period and the Chiefs are making plans for Priest Holmes and rookie Kolby Smith to split carries at tailback.
