M. Harrison Cleared to Play Against Patriots But Colts Might Withhold Him
The Indianapolis Colts' medical staff has cleared wide receiver Marvin Harrison to play in Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. But Coach Tony Dungy said during a news conference today that another week off might enable Harrison to play the remainder of the season without further knee difficulties.
Harrison has missed two of the Colts' last three games because of an ailing left knee and it's unclear if he'll play against the Patriots. His status will be determined just before game time Sunday, according to Dungy.
"Our dilemma is that the doctors thought if he plays, he could have continued issues with it," Dungy said. "If we give him another week off, he probably would not have the same issues down the stretch. But he wants to play" Sunday.
