Redskins-Bills Game to be Played Sunday as Scheduled

The Washington Redskins' game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills at FedEx Field will be played as scheduled, representatives of the team and league said.

"I have not heard any discussion of changes to the schedule," Greg Aiello, the NFL's senior vice president of public relations, said by telephone from New York.

What about Next thursday's game with Chicago? Conceivably that could be moved to Sunday and with the Redskins missing a day next week for the funeral, is that something the league is monitoring and seriously considering?

I will never read another Leonard Shapiro piece of writing. The media, including the WaPo, has always been notorious for unjustly castigating athletes - in many cases athletes who come from a checkered past due to the imposed social conditions of this country.

But calling out Taylor for an incident that happened years ago for which he was not convicted, and in which the only witness was the very criminal that instigated the ordeal, on the very day after he was murdered in his house is simply disgusting. He was 24 years old. Every 24 year old person, much less athlete, has made mistakes. Get over yourself Leonard.
