Reid Says He'll Keep Coaching Eagles

Andy Reid said today that he has no plans to quit coaching the Philadelphia Eagles despite his sons' legal troubles and a stern rebuke by a county judge Thursday.

Reid addressed the issue briefly during his regular news conference at the Eagles' training facility.

"I know this is a big story for everybody and I respect that," Reid said. "On the other hand, I can't go into questioning on it at this time.

"However, as parents we have huge concerns for our two boys. This has been a battle we have dealt with here for a few years and I'm sure we'll continue to address the situation.... Our prayers are obviously with the boys, for their future, and to make sure things work out, where they can live a normal life down the road."

Asked whether he plans to coach the Eagles for the long term, Reid said yes.

Reid missed the Eagles' practice Thursday to be in the courtroom as his two adult sons were sentenced to prison terms by a Montgomery County, Pa., judge who called Andy and Tammy Reid loving parents but expressed concerns about the environment in which the boys were raised. Judge Steven T. O'Neill called the Reid house a "drug emporium" and called the Reids a "family in crisis."

when you're a "family in crisis" you don't know it and can't see it -- reed should have retired long ago to be there for his kids -- the end results speaks to the fact that he wasn't -- he's a poor excuse for a father
