Season Over for Panthers Linebacker D. Morgan

The Carolina Panthers placed linebacker Dan Morgan on the injured reserve list, ending his season.

Morgan is to undergo surgery for a partially torn Achilles' tendon. He played in only three games this season.

The Panthers also signed quarterback Drew Olson to the practice squad, providing some depth at the position with the playing status of David Carr and Vinny Testaverde uncertain this week. Carr suffered a concussion last weekend and Testaverde has been plagued by a strained Achilles' tendon. Rookie Matt Moore is the only other quarterback on the Panthers' 53-man roster.
