Vikings in Market for Quarterback Help
Former Carolina Panthers quarterback Chris Weinke reportedly is scheduled to work out today for the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings have had a string of injuries at quarterback. Tarvaris Jackson suffered a concussion during Sunday's win over the San Diego Chargers. He has missed time this season because of a strained groin muscle and a broken finger. Backup Kelly Holcomb, who made three starts when Jackson was sidelined, now is on the shelf because of a neck injury.
The Vikings also have Brooks Bollinger on the roster.
