Broncos Release Troubled Punter Sauerbrun

The Denver Broncos released punter Todd Sauerbrun.

Sauerbrun is facing an assault charge stemming from an incident involving a Denver cab driver earlier this month.

The Broncos also released Sauerbrun last season after he served a four-game suspension for testing positive for the dietary supplement ephedra. The punter spent time with the New England Patriots last season, then returned to the Broncos in the offseason.
