Could Holt's Sideline Outburst Affect Linehan's Job Security in St. Louis?

Some in the league are wondering if the job security of St. Louis Rams Coach Scott Linehan could be jeopardized by his sideline exchange Thursday night with wide receiver Torry Holt.

Holt had harsh words for Linehan on the sideline late in the Rams' loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Holt is a respected veteran, and such an outburst is uncharacteristic for him.

If it's a sign that Linehan has lost the confidence of key Rams players, perhaps the team's front office would reconsider its earlier pledge that Linehan will return as coach next season.
