Packers Expect Favre to Practice Today or Thursday

The Green Bay Packers expect quarterback Brett Favre to practice today or Thursday and play this weekend.

Favre suffered injuries to his right elbow and left shoulder and left last Thursday's loss in Dallas in the second quarter. Backup Aaron Rodgers finished the game.

Favre has started 269 consecutive games, including the playoffs. He was absent from the Packers' practice Tuesday and was in New York to be honored as Sports Illustrated's sportsman of the year.

Actually, I think Favre should take the game off. So should Aaron Rodgers. And Craig Nall.

I hear Jeff George needs a job.
