Winless Dolphins Now Without Z. Thomas

The winless Miami Dolphins will be without linebacker Zach Thomas for the remainder of the season.

They placed Thomas on the injured reserve list Tuesday. He'd missed seven games this season because of concussion symptoms. He and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, had urged team officials to leave Thomas on the active roster and wait a bit longer for doctors to clear him to play.

The Dolphins are 0-12 and are trying to avoid becoming the first NFL team ever to go winless in a 16-game season.

It would be great if the Dolphins went 0-16. I never thought I'd say that about any team but it would partly make up for having to suffer through seeing and hearing Kuechenberger, Shula, Morris, Csonka, Griese and the rest of those sore sports demeaning every team that dares to challenge their perfect record on 1972.

I am soooo sick of those old guys and their champagne toasts.

An 0-16 season would be the perfect bookend to their 17-0 season as they would likely be mentioned together.

Sorry 2007 Dolphins...sins of the father ya know.
