Billick, Cameron Join Martz as Offensive Coordinator Candidates in S.F.
The San Francisco 49ers have three high-profile coaches on their list of candidates for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Coach Mike Nolan said on a Bay Area radio station Thursday that his candidates include Mike Martz, Brian Billick and Cam Cameron.
All three are former NFL head coaches. Billick and Cameron just were fired this week, Billick on Monday by the Baltimore Ravens and Cameron on Thursday by the Miami Dolphins. Martz, formerly the head coach of the St. Louis Rams, just was fired as offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions.
The 49ers fired Jim Hostler as their offensive coordinator. Nolan kept his job as head coach after two days of meetings with co-owner John York but surrendered final say over the team's player-related decisions to Scot McCloughan, who was promoted from vice president of player personnel to general manager.

How often is it that a coordinator turned head coach like Nolan can later have his old bosses like Turner and Billick as his own coordinators?
