Bucs Sign Gruden, B. Allen to Contract Extensions

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Coach Jon Gruden and General Manager Bruce Allen to three-year contract extensions.

The deals run through the 2011 season.

The Buccaneers won the NFC South with a record of 9-7 but lost in the first round of the playoffs at home to the New York Giants.

The team recently signed veteran defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin to a contract extension. Now the club has avoided the uncomfortable situation of Gruden having to coach next season in the final year of his contract.
