Favre Planning to Play Next Season

Maybe there won't be a retirement watch for Brett Favre this offseason.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback told the Biloxi (Miss.) Sun Herald that he plans to play next season.

"For the first time in three years, I haven't thought this could be my last game," Favre told the newspaper. "I would like to continue longer."

Favre finished a distant second to Tom Brady in the NFL most valuable player voting and the Packers, after a 13-3 regular season, are preparing to host the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC semifinal Saturday at Lambeau Field.
