Here a Manning, There a Manning
INDIANAPOLIS--It's a Mannings kind of day.
Peyton's Colts play the early game today here against the San Diego Chargers. Eli's Giants play the late game at Dallas.
Standing outside the visitor's locker room in Tampa last Sunday after the Giants beat the Buccaneers, Archie Manning said that he and his wife Olivia had hoped their quarterbacking sons would play on different days this weekend so Archie and Olivia could attend both games. At least at that point, the plan was for the parents to split this weekend's games, with Archie attending one and Olivia the other.
It was not immediately clear which of the Manning parents was on hand at the RCA Dome for the Peyton assignment.
The day begins with an all-Manning, all-the-time Super Bowl still a possibility.
