New Contract for Packers' GM

The Green Bay Packers have announced that they've signed General Manager Ted Thompson to a new five-year contract running through the 2012 season.

Thompson is in his third season as the Packers' GM and assembled a young team around veteran quarterback Brett Favre that went 13-3 this season and secured the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs.
