Coughlin Says Extension Coming Soon

PHOENIX--New York Giants Coach Tom Coughlin said today he expects to complete a contract extension with the team soon.

Coughlin's current deal expires after next season but he and the Giants are expected to negotiate a four-year extension.

On the day after his club's 17-14 triumph over the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, Coughlin said: "I expect that some of this will happen in a short amount of time."

The Giants left the Phoenix area today. Up next for them is a victory parade Tuesday in New York.
