Crowded Front Office in St. Louis

Things are getting a bit crowded in the St. Louis Rams' front office.

Over the weekend, the team hired Billy Devaney as its executive vice president of player personnel. Devaney is a veteran NFL executive who most recently had served as the assistant general manager of the Atlanta Falcons. He once was a Washington Redskins scout and had a long stint as the San Diego Chargers' director of player personnel.

In St. Louis, Devaney is to share decision-making responsibilities with a group that includes Coach Scott Linehan; Tony Softli, the club's vice president of player personnel; and Jay Zygmunt, the franchise's president of football operations.
