Rams, Needing Kicker, Get J. Brown

The St. Louis Rams needed a kicker after Jeff Wilkins retired earlier today.

They've got one.

The Rams and free agent kicker Josh Brown, formerly of the Seattle Seahawks, agreed to a five-year, $14.2 million contract that includes a $4 million signing bonus.

Also:

The trade of defensive tackle Shaun Rogers from the Detroit Lions to the Cleveland Browns has gone through. The Browns send a third-round draft pick and cornerback Leigh Bodden to the Lions for Rogers. Earlier today, a proposed trade of Rogers to the Cincinnati Bengals for third- and fifth-round choices fell through.
