Colts Reportedly Allowing Utecht to Leave for Bengals
The Indianapolis Colts reportedly have declined to match an offer sheet to reserve tight end Ben Utecht, allowing him to go to the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals had signed Utecht, a restricted free agent, to a three-year, $9 million offer sheet, and the Colts had until Friday to decide whether to retain Utecht by matching the offer. Utecht's agent reportedly heard nothing from the Colts before the deadline, leading him to conclude that the Colts had declined to match the offer.
