Kearse Returns to Titans, and the Day's Other Moves

Defensive end Jevon Kearse is back with the Tennessee Titans.

Kearse, cut by the Philadelphia Eagles, agreed to a deal with the Titans today. He left Tennessee as a free agent before the 2004 season to sign with the Eagles.

Now he's back.

In other moves:

Free agent linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, a special teams standout formerly with the Chicago Bears, agreed to a contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He'd also been pursued by the New York Jets.

The Jets did sign fullback Tony Richardson, most recently of the Minnesota Vikings.

The Denver Broncos signed free agent linebacker Boss Bailey, who leaves the Detroit Lions and becomes a teammate of his brother Champ, the Broncos' standout cornerback.

The St. Louis Rams re-signed guard Adam Goldberg and added tight end Anthony Becht, formerly of Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers lose Becht but agreed to a deal with free agent tight end Ben Troupe, formerly of the Titans.

The New England Patriots, continuing to focus on their secondary, added cornerback Lewis Sanders, cut by the Atlanta Falcons.

Offensive lineman Maurice Williams agreed to a contract to remain with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Eagles released linebacker Takeo Spikes, saving $5 million in salary cap space.
