Niners Have Deal With J. Smith

The San Francisco 49ers have reached a contract agreement with defensive end Justin Smith.

The six-year deal apparently includes about $20 million in guaranteed money and is worth more than $7 million per season overall.

Smith, an unrestricted free agent formerly with the Cincinnati Bengals, had only two sacks this past season. But he's been a decent pass rusher for much of his NFL career, totaling 43-1/2 sacks in seven seasons with the Bengals.
