No Deal Yet Between Walsh, NFL

People familiar with the discussions between the NFL and former New England Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh say an agreement between the two sides remains close but is not completed yet.

Both sides released statements Sunday evening saying they expected an agreement to be completed soon.

They have been negotiating a deal to provide legal protection for Walsh that will allow him to be interviewed by NFL officials about his knowledge of the Patriots' videotaping program.
