Del Rio Gets Contract Extension From Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed their coach, Jack Del Rio, to a contract extension.

The deal runs through the 2012 season.

The Jaguars went 11-5 during the regular season and won a first-round AFC playoff game in Pittsburgh before losing a conference semifinal at New England.

Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver said at a news conference that the team also expects to complete a contract extension with quarterback David Garrard soon.
