Indianapolis Awarded 2012 Super Bowl
ATLANTA--The owners awarded the 2012 Super Bowl to Indianapolis.
The game will be played at the Colts' new stadium, Lucas Oil Stadium, that opens next season.
The other finalists were Houston and Arizona.
Indianapolis was regarded as a virtual lock to get the game after being edged out in last year's voting for the 2011 game, which went to Dallas.
"We can't wait until 2012," Colts owner Jim Irsay said. "It was tough not getting it last year but it's all worth it now."

I've been to Indy several times and I think they'll do a good job. It's not Naptown anymore.

Indianapolis is a small to with a huge heart. We will make our small home look like a million bucks and will welcome all visitors. Indy is compact and easy to get around. I know a lot of people would not want to live here but we will put on one of the best shows. I love my city and will welcome the chance to show off our creativity.
