C. Johnson On Field for Bengals' Practice

Wide receiver Chad Johnson was in uniform and on the field this morning as the Cincinnati Bengals opened a three-day minicamp that's mandatory for players.

He reportedly arrived on the field about 10 minutes after the practice was to begin at 9:45 a.m.

Johnson had created a major ruckus earlier in the offseason by demanding to be traded and threatening to boycott all offseason activities by the Bengals if that demand wasn't met. He relented in recent weeks, however, after club officials were adamant they wouldn't trade him.

Ahhh, but Johnson did not practice due to what he called "bone spurs in his ankle that may require surgery..." However, Marvin Lewis seemed skeptical, saying that they'll need to check Johnson out, he said so with a smirk...
