Extension For Giants' Snee
It pays to be the coach's son-in-law.
Actually, it pays much more to be one of the league's best guards playing for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
The New York Giants completed a six-year contract extension with guard Chris Snee, a deal apparently worth about $7 million per season. Snee, the son-in-law of Coach Tom Coughlin, was a second-round selection in the 2004 NFL draft and has developed into one of the league's best run blockers.
Snee's deal runs through the 2014 season and means that the Giants have all of their starting offensive linemen under contract through at least the 2011 season.
