Sheppard Absent from Eagles' Workout

Cornerback Lito Sheppard missed the Philadelphia Eagles' voluntary workout Tuesday, further clouding his status with the team.

It was thought after the Eagles signed cornerback Asante Samuel as a free agent that they would trade Sheppard. But it hasn't happened yet, and now the Eagles might have to work out a way to keep Sheppard content with his contract and role on the club.
