Titans Reportedly Balking at Haynesworth Proposal

The Tennessee Titans are attempting to negotiate a longterm contract with Albert Haynesworth after giving the defensive tackle their franchise player tag in February.

Haynesworth remains unsigned but reportedly has offered to sign his one-year franchise player deal, which would pay him a guaranteed salary of $7.25 million next season, if the Titans agree not to use their franchise player tag on him again next offseason.

Titans officials reportedly are balking at that offer.
