Vanderjagt to CFL
Kicker Mike Vanderjagt has been unable to land another NFL job since being released by the Dallas Cowboys during the 2006 season. He reportedly is headed back to the Canadian Football League, where he began his pro career, and will sign with the Toronto Argonauts.
Vanderjagt remains the most accurate field goal kicker in NFL history but his career with the Indianapolis Colts ended unceremoniously after a miss at the end of a playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2005 season. The Colts signed Adam Vinatieri to take Vanderjagt's job, and Vanderjagt signed with the Cowboys but struggled before being released by then-coach Bill Parcells.
He's had workouts with several NFL teams since then but wasn't signed and spent all of last season out of the league.
