Bucs Calling Garcia's Injury Minor

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are saying that the injury to his right calf that quarterback Jeff Garcia suffered during today's practice isn't serious.

Coach Jon Gruden said during a news conference that more evaluation of the injury is required but at this point he doesn't think it's serious.

The Buccaneers are terming Garcia's status day to day.

Garcia was hurt during a non-contact passing drill and was taken from the field on a cart, then limped to the locker room after getting out of the cart.

The Buccaneers have been among the teams linked to a possible trade for still-retired-for-now Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre.

Well, the Packers leverage just increased quite a bit, if the Bucs really want Favre!

Maybe they will get that #1 pick now after all... perhaps they will get 2 #2 picks.

Gruden deserves to have to give up a #1.
You folks see what he actually said on camera the other day?

When asked about his commitment to Garcia being his QB, or interest in getting Favre, he actually said, "That would not be fair to Brett Favre."

Excuse me?
How about what is fair to your OWN QB?
Favre is not even on YOUR team, Gruden!
Way to sow dissension on your own team!
What an ego maniac; each year he alienates himself from the team, fans and media down there in Tampa!
What a jerk!
