Speculation About Possible Favre Return Not Exactly Shocking
While Brett Favre was still playing, there was constant speculation that he was about to retire.
Now that the Green Bay Packers quarterback is retired, there is ceaseless conjecture that he's about to play.
No one should be surprised that there's a new round of reports that Favre might be considering a return to the Packers for the upcoming season. It was inevitable. From the moment that Favre announced his retirement, there were suspicions in and around the league that he wasn't done. He said at his retirement news conference that he knew he still could play; he just didn't want to.
"Want to" can change over time. But there are complications. The Packers seem to have moved on. They've spent the offseason readying Aaron Rodgers to be their new starter at quarterback. They probably don't want to release Favre and allow him to play for another team, one that possibly could stand between the Packers and the Super Bowl title for which they surprisingly contended last season. Even on Favre's end, there would be an awkwardness to returning. He would have to announce his return after his tearful retirement announcement.
It was practically a given that Favre would feel a tug just before training camp opened to return to the sport, that he would express that feeling to associates and it would be reported publicly. That's still a long way from him actually returning. But he never has completely ruled it out, and no one who has followed the story would be shocked to see Favre play this season. Surprised, maybe, but not shocked.
And even if Favre doesn't decide to return immediately, just stand by.
There undoubtedly would be a few more rounds of speculation in the future that Favre is about to come back.

Here is the problem i have with Favre while he was playing he never decided what he wanted to do after he's paying days were over was he gonna be a coach broadcaster executive go to television or get out of the business completely this is one thing he should have figured out long time ago and because of that he wants to play as for the packers they can't have their cake and eat it two now if they have move on as they claim then if Brett does come back cut him say to Brett thank you for all the memories and the superbowl trophy that we have right now which you are responsible for but we are getting younger at the QB position and thank you for grooming Aaron rodgers.
