Urlacher Agrees to Upgraded Contract With Bears

Linebacker Brian Urlacher has gotten the new contract he wanted from the Chicago Bears.

Urlacher has agreed to a new deal with the Bears that adds one season to his previous contract, meaning that he's signed through the 2012 season.

He gets a $6 million signing bonus and, in all, about $18 million in new money in the extension spread over the next five seasons.

His contract now is worth, according to a source, $43.5 million over the next five seasons.
