German Sex Ed = Homosexual Role Playing
Berlin Schools May Battle Homophobia by Teaching Students Gay Pick-Up Lines
They say you can't understand someone until you walk a mile in his shoes. Perhaps with this in mind, Germany's Regional Institute for School and Media has introduced a series of exercises in which students pick up same-sex partners. Pupils 14 years old and up will participate by practicing homosexual wooing techniques -- and in the process, officials hope, break down age-old schoolyard prejudices.
Not everybody in Germany is enamored of this approach. "I think having such topics on how to pick up gay men in role-playing games for youths is completely wrong," FDP Party education spokesman Mieke Senftleben was quoted saying. "We are talking about 14-year-old pupils," she added. (Was she implying that youngsters should wait until they have reached the age of consent, 16 years old in Germany, before participating?)
In the United States, conservative groups such as the Citizens for Community Values are on the record against so-called "homosexuality education" programs. In a 2004 report, the group says such programs are "nothing more than a deceptive ploy designed to preach safety while actually encouraging sexual behaviors." The Cincinnati-based CCV has not commented specifically on this latest German innovation, but it's a safe bet that it would oppose any programs on the gay pickup scene in American schools.
But is it likely this program will be adopted by any schools here? Not without a little tweaking, of course. I suggest that this program be expanded to include straight students as well. After all, adolescents -- especially boys -- of every sexual orientation and proclivity need help picking up a mate. If the program is to be true to its mission of teaching understanding and tolerance, it should ensure that no child is left behind.

Homosexuals have no place in American schools, let the Germans keep them

Queer schools what a great idea. Why not just turn 9th grade into a freaking orgy for all

I got a gun that says ain/t no program like this gonna be here in American schools

This program may make people a lot more homophobic not less. Still Its germany... they always do things a little differently

This program is silly. I wish there were at least some education about gays in America. It's obvious that it's needed, seeing as 3 of the 5 comments on here are homophobic.

Honestly...that's kinda weird...I'm not against it but um...as an American student, I could never get used it...I don't find it wrong to teach gay pick-ups outside of education, but within education, I would refuse... the point of going to school is to teach electives such as art, electronics, health. And core classes (math, science, enlgish, and history)to beter our future. Teaching pick-ups for gay, les. or straight as a class is liking teach a student to become a prostitute...
If I had to stay in school longer just to learn lesbo pick-ups, Id either switch out of that school or drop that class personally...

I'd stay late to watch lesbo pick-up lines. Still why can't they teach straight guys how to pick up girls. That would be a VERY useful class

When our public schools develop curricula to change our moral values towards homosexuality, we have moved into the realm of re-education camps of communist countries. Germany has a long history of trying such manipulation. This should send a chill up the spine and spineless alike.

i dont see how picking up is diff for gays or straights. why do they have to give it a name, lets just call it a class to help student pick up, and if it is considered so, i ask is this right?

This nothing homophobic about protecting our children. Keep gays out of schools

Sure if the schools tried to teach straight sex they'd get in trouble but its ok for everyone to be gay these days. People talk about the decline of moral authority, but this is about the decline of civilization. Lord help us if we teach people to become homosexual

This is not what Germany needs. But I suspect this is only the beginning in the campaign against heterosexuality.

Tell you what: why don't we just take everyone who believes in God and tell them they are not allowed to be legally treated as adults until they stop believing in the wrong kind of fairy tales. Then homophobia and a lot of other bigoted and superstitious behaviour would disappear quickly.

Picking up girls wasn't much of a problem for me, but the kids now days would get suspended from school if they wore my "Free Mustache Rides" t-Shirt.
