New UFO Sighting Reported In Stephenville Texas

Fired Reporter Angelia Joiner Sparks Conspiracy Theories

Are there UFOs in the skies above Texas?

The truth may be out there, but, when it comes to UFO stories, it is sure hard to find. Conjecture breeds conspiracy theories. Any official denial can be labeled a cover-up. In the end, it often boils down to a he-said-she-said scenario.

Such is the case in Stephenville, Texas, a small, rural community thrust into the spotlight after several unexplained disturbances in January. Though that spotlight has now faded, the town remains altered. Some members of the community want to move on; others cannot let go. And some, if you believe them, say that UFOs are still there.

According to Angelia Joiner, the reporter who wrote the original UFO stories, there was another UFO sighting on Saturday. "If the military is testing a secret military device, why do they keep doing it here?" she asked me. "If it's not a secret why do they keep scaring the bejesus out of people?"

Adding a further wrinkle to this story, Joiner was fired from The Empire-Tribune a week ago. She claims she had been told to back off the story and thinks the town's "upper crust" was "embarrassed" by all the attention. The Empire-Tribune has avoided comment, which of course only fans the flames of the conspiracy theories.

For its part, the military has done itself no favors, first denying that it had any aircraft in the area, then flip-flopping a few days later -- after more witnesses came forward. A spokesperson blamed internal miscommunication for the mix-up. Others, including CNN's Larry King, have asked whether it wasn't a cover-up.

But who can we believe? The truth remains unidentified.

I lived in Martindale, Texas right outside of San Marcos... Anyways I saw some crazy things in the sky sort of like that. It was last summer.. I know they are out there because once you see something like that it changes your whole world of thoughts.

Yea, Texas hicks spot UFO, really breaking news there! How come no one with all their teeth or a 3 digit IQ ever sees these thing? Cause its all BS! These characters got nothing better going on in their lives so they either bed the livestock or make up some stories. Really now.

Posted by: Kevin, NY | February 12, 2008 11:00 AM

Finding the truth about the astonishing UFO subject is hampered by so many things: hoaxes, misidentifications, sensationalism, and the refusal of the United States government to share what it knows with the American public.
The articles posted by Angelia Joiner of the local Stephenville newspaper were a fine source of information and now that resource has been eliminated. I hope that does not mean that, once again, the quest for unvarnished truth will be thwarted.

Posted by: Carl | February 12, 2008 11:03 AM

You sure you've got a 3 digit IQ there, Kev? There still plenty of the 78% of the U.S. public (who believe that the U.S. government haven't told us the truth about this stuff) left for you to insult.

Posted by: Paul, FL | February 12, 2008 11:08 AM

Why don't we ever talk about what the Native Americans know VERSUS the Federal Government? Natives say they were taught the constellations from either other tribes, or from "Star People". Some of Hitlers top scientist claimed Alien contact. The Bible over 100 mentions, and all world religions include some Unidentified Aerial Flying Machines. Are we alone? That should not be the question. How many are COMING here SHOULD be the question, and what is the intent?

Posted by: B-More | February 12, 2008 11:12 AM

Listen losers there is nothing out there! Why do you think the government is covering something up? Our leaders are here to help us not hurt us. This distrust is pure paranoia from losers who want attention

Posted by: K | February 12, 2008 11:56 AM

Hey Kev you are the one who's a loser here. Those "hicks" you talk about (one was a pilot, another a police officer) are probably a lot smarter than you'll ever be. It's good to see the press finally paying attention to UFO sightings once again. There's a huge story out there if only someone will follow it.

Posted by: Scott, NY | February 12, 2008 12:10 PM

Having been a skeptic until recently researching the subject relentlessly, I've come to realize we are more likely than not, on the list of places to visit in the universe. Angelia Joiner unwittingly became the scapegoat at the Stephenville Empire Tribune and when I voiced my concern through their online guestbook, my comment was not printed. I wonder how many others are being silenced.

Posted by: Elaine | February 12, 2008 12:24 PM

Kevin, you are the only loser I see posted
here. You sound about as bright as a 30 watt bulb. Look at the evidence out there beyond Texas..it's overwhelming. You believe the Government is here to help us
and tell us the truth? HA, HA, HA, I bet your IQ isn't even measureable.

Posted by: Dennis, NY | February 12, 2008 12:25 PM

Kev, you really think all Texas is is hick, hardly any teeth, unintelligent people who don't have any lives? Tell us about urs. Cause I'm sure you don't even measure up to half the people who live there. I was raised there, in Stephenville. Don't go basing your whole idea on Texans just b/c of a stereotype unless you're prepared to get bashed right back.

Posted by: Rhea, AR | February 12, 2008 12:56 PM

No one can tell, maybe. The government has a long history of cover-ups. What I find hard to believe is with all these witnesses and sightings no one has any pictures or video. No one had time to whip out a cell phone and get some evidence? Too much for me to believe I'm afraid.

Posted by: Peter, MA | February 12, 2008 1:10 PM

What is truly disturbing is that Angelia Joiner's company computer was also taken suddenly. No doubt it contained emails and other witness info from individuals who entrusted their personal info, believing she would be the reporter to get to the bottom of this. Now a less-than-trustworthy Empire Tribune has access to that information....where will it go?

At the time she was terminated, she was covering the testimony of Rick Sorrell who claimed that he was experiencing pressure from the military to keep quiet. He was the only known daylight sightings witness, having seen the craft in detail.

It appears that she was fired for covering that story.

Posted by: Raj | February 12, 2008 1:13 PM

Wake up people. A fact is a fact, thousands of sightings worldwide. Rather ask yourself " why US leaders don`t they admit this extraterrestrial presence...?..". The chilling answers you will get are the ones for the secrecy about this taboo subject.

Posted by: Stephan Dussault | February 12, 2008 1:17 PM

Thanks for reporting this! Ricky Sorrells saw a UFO which he describes as being the size of 3 football fields hovering 300 feet above him in the woods on his property while he was hunting. He saw details of the craft through the scope on his riffle. He's claiming to have received a phone call from someone that said they were a Lt. Col. who made threatening remarks to him. Ricky is an honest man. This needs to be covered by the media and answers given. UFO disclosure now!!!

Listen to this Ricky Sorrells audio:

Posted by: Eric | February 12, 2008 1:23 PM

Ufo's are now everywhere. read all the reports of pictures, then go read about the disclosure project. we are in the age of need to know. and we all need to know now. but you must look at it objectivly. and pray to your god becouse we are about to experiance a very big change in humanity and the world we live in.

TaTa for now,

Ms Joiner and Mr Sorrells are joining 'like-minds' over at the Open Minds group - http://openminds.co.nr - investigations are very much ON-GOING!

Posted by: Open Minds | February 12, 2008 1:44 PM

Sooner or later the government will be dragged kicking and screaming to finally come clean. The evidence is now overwhelming. Could this latest episode force this issue? Kudos to the Washington Post for having the guts to report on this.

Posted by: Numbers | February 12, 2008 1:47 PM

I presume that whoever or whatever this thing is it might be looking for an escaped intergalactic criminal somewhere in Texas. Near Waco perhaps. The wanted poster was already left burned into the crops near Chilbolton in England.
It does sound like a description of the celestial city in the revelations of St John and if Chernobyl is Russian for Wormwood and the millstone thrown into the ocean is the Asian Tsunami we had better get ready for a visit from a higher life form. I hope that it is not silicone based or we really are in trouble.

Posted by: Gianni Santo | February 12, 2008 1:54 PM

There are many places that one could look for evidence to refute or confirm the presented evidence. Less than 1 percent of all "ufo people" make money, even a little, after these events. These are not hoaxes. If you want to follow the reporter in question, or the Ricky Sorrels events, ( http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread332180/pg1 )or the Stephensville UFO sightings, check out this website:http://www.abovetopsecret.com/

@Kev, wow, just wow man. 3 digit IQ? How about Jimmy Carter? http://youtube.com/watch?v=f9ZoKfYCNlM

So do you distrust Jimmy Carter? Former President of the US? Do you distrust the same entities that you just claimed are there to lead and protect us?

Sounds like that could be a little contradictory.

Listen everyone, WAKE the hell up, all this information is out there, if you choose to find it. Start here:http://speedstream.netro.ca/netrostream113/npcc.wmv

The Disclosure Project is ran by Dr. Steven Greer, and he has over 400 ex CIA, NSA, NRO, DIA, DNI, NASA, JPL, Army Intel, all ready to go infront of congress, with eyewitness accounts, documents, and testimonies to back it up.

We have the technologies to save our planet...we must disclose this...

Posted by: Jon | February 12, 2008 2:03 PM

Jimmy Carter is a 3 digit anti-Semite! And most of the people who are posting comments here sound like 6-toed inbreds. When did science become science fiction, huh? THERE IS NO PROOF only hoaxes but you people start acting like lemmings at the first sign of a light in the sky.
Are your lives so empty that you need to fill it with fairy tales? It is disturbing that with all that is going on in the world this is how you chose to use your time. Why don't you save yourselves the trouble and join the Scientologists?

First to Kev and K if they are not the same people- you have voiced your opinion here very clearly. You have resorted to name calling and stereotyping, great, perfect. On what facts do you base your conclusions?
Now, as for anyone with an interest, an internet search (or a visit to www.openminds.com or to www.ufocasebook.com or numerous other websites) will show just how many sightings have been reported in the recent past. To the 'doubters' I can only say this- the evidence is there, you must open your eyes and your minds to see it though. With the recent advances in the areas of quantum physics/quantum mechanics (I'm sure there are some Einstein fans who just shivered at seeing those 2 theories in the same sentence)there can be no more stereotyping as to what we really know to be possible and the realization that so much more than what we now know is out there to be learned. To think that our physical world that we live in is the only realm, would be the same as covering one's ears and shouting at the top of their lungs so they do not hear/see the new evidence that is being presented to them.
I am a Texan, I have met both Ms. Joiner and Mr. Sorrells, and they are intelligent, hones people looking for answers.
So, kev, or K, or whatever name you choose next to post under, your comments are welcome here and we as Americans will defend your right to post them, no matter how ignorant and uninformed they may be. Rick

Wow, Kevin. Great way to put an entire state of millions into one basket of hicks.
Me thinks you have not ventured out past NY much and must get all your info from old episodes of the Beverly Hillbillies.
If you want to ignore the fact that they were sighted by law enforcement, county officials, a seasoned pilot, and dozens of others, I guess that is up to you. But to think that someone doesn't know an F-16 from a UFO, that is ridiculous. I guess you would also then need to discount that some people said the object was being CHASED by F-16's (meaning, that they knew exactly what an F-16 looks like, and the object they saw was not one).

if-
There are many many pictures and videos of these Stephenville area sightings. Some have simply not been released by the people who have them (thanks to attitudes like Kevin's). They are deciding what they wish to do next with the evidence, which by the way, is STILL BEING COLLECTED. There have been more sightings since the original reports. Keep watching though, when these new videos, pictures, and testimonies are reported to the public, I expect the people who are truly open minded to finaly realize that there is something going on. Whether the 'Governement' knows anything or is 'covering-up' anything or not remains to be proven or disproven. But if I don't have an answer I will say, "I don't know" and NOT reverse my first story and release a contradictory one later.

Could someone please explain to me what the government has to gain by covering all this up cause I just don't get it. People today are mature enough to cope with the fact that there are aliens and UFOs. What's the big deal?
The reason I think there is no area 52 alien program is because it doesn't make sense that they would need to make it secret.

Posted by: Lucky | February 12, 2008 4:23 PM

To answer Lucky,
It's not what the government has to gain by keeping this secret. It's what they have to lose. That is, control of everything you do in life. Everyone thinks they are free here in the US. Google or yahoo, zero point energy, learn what they don't want us to know, free energy is possible, but as long as money is the driving force, we are slaves to big business. the haves will continue to have more, while the have nots will continue to have less. Quick, get the facts before we lose everything on the net to the govt sensors.

Here's hoping for a mass ufo landing in kevins front yard, because yes they are real.

a huge thank you to the Washington Post for having the courage to stay with this story.

the number of "multi-witness" sightings reported has increased very recently.

science as a whole seems to accept the probability of life on other planets- is it THAT DIFFICULT to see "visits" from advanced life as a possible reality?
or did we already discover everything there is to know?

my understanding is that either gorillas r apes were considered "stupid native myth" until the 1800s.

i think the next 5-10 years could be VERY INTERESTING at this rate!!!!

dear lucky:great question!surely many centers of power/control wil be theatened.suppose aliens do not use money, dont believe in god ,share all recources equally, dont pay taxes, dont use oil etc etc. There are so many possible reasons that the powers that be would find terrifying,if it meant that we should start thinking.Clearly you are ,now just follow your thoughts!!!!

No, not over 1 year. Things will change this year if we make things change to better way. E.T people has waited us at we change to more peacefull and respectful beings. We have todays throwed ignorance and hate to E.T people and many other beings in this world. We should stop whining, power seeking and our selfishness and thinking at we are the better ones. We should start think others too and much more other things.

We can change earth to better place in this year, if we doing cooperate together. Let's not just hope, let's make change to real and let's show to E.T people at we can do it!

Or are we maybe just weak?

They are not waiting doing diplomacy with government, they waiting us to accept them.

There is an interesting twist to this story about newspaper and media ownership regarding the Stephenville, Texas, newspaper and the buy-up of many other community papers in Texas. Apparently this is widely known in Texas: The foreign company pursuing the multi-billion dollar toll road deal, Maquarie, is buying up Texas community newspapers and has already purchased the Stephenville paper. Some say this is to influence public perception and opposition to the planned toll road. Interesting that a UFO story would bring attention to this.

to "lucky" (with all respect, btw)
if you thought the world stood still on 9/11...

there is EVERY reason to keep this info from us-
stock market would be extremely unpredictable- can you imagine what the major oil companies would think with probably non-fossil fuel around the corner?

who is now in charge? just wondering would be enough.

religion- some already think they are part of the bible- "demons that will lie to us", etc.... AND what IF they could clear up a few things about religion... what if your religion "got it all wrong"?

it WILL affect everything we do. We'd no longer be the top of the food chain...

Posted by: not_asoul | February 12, 2008 5:12 PM

Why you hate them? Why you see them some evil? Is it because they are different from us?

We are all same worthy even if we are different. Those words you have forgotten.

Posted by: YouAreAnFool | February 12, 2008 5:42 PM

Many people have seen unidentified aerial craft that do not fit descriptions of traditional aerodynamically designed vehicles. This doesn't mean the unidentified craft are from another planet.
But. If the U.S. Military wants to prove that whatever their F-16s were tracking are truly more F-16s, then why not re-stage the exercise so that the citizens of S'ville can observe the phenomena again? That would put the explanation the military has used to the test and also the controversy would calm down. But they haven't offered to do that or to even re-enact the "flares" that were seen over Phoenix in the '90s.
Of course, flying HUGE silent secret test craft over populated areas doesn't seem like a very bright idea to begin with. Also, if the U.S. wants to keep these things secret, having really bright lights and such unusual flight patterns doesn't help them stay secret very long.
And IF these are for the U.S. and military operations, why aren't they being used in Iraq to speed that along? I would like to know how our taxes are being used.

So you wanted know where much money from taxes goes?

Wrongness it goes and you maybe allready know what wrongness they allready doing. So money goes to bad things what we call other names "Evil doings".

Thank you Washinton Post for your continued coverage regarding something that may be vital to our national security!
Kudos to the folks in Stephensville who are showing extreme courage for standing behind what they saw. I sent my own emails to the newspaper there complaining of their ill treatment of Ms. Joiner. If we as Americans cannot trust the testimony of credible citizens...what are we left with?!
I belong to an upper middle class, military, college educated family. I'm not a whack job idiot who wants to believe in fairy tales. I do believe something is happening and hope that the good people of this country and around the world will continue to pressure the government, to share what they know. There are civilizations that have been prophecied to return at the second coming of Christ...I personally think it is somehow related. Hoping time will tell. In the meantime, I hope the tide of ridicule turns to the uneducated people with their head in the sand.

The status quo is very important to the politics of the world. Anything that threatens the norm is usually discredited or ignored. Are we being visited by non-earthly beings? Who knows. It isn't criminal or deviant or pathological to consider alien life forms. The only truly stupid question is the one not asked.

This article makes a lot out of 'conspiracy theories', but fails to mention that Joiner got fired after she reported a story that one of the UFO witnesses was getting harrassed by the Air Force, flying helicopters over his house in the middle of the night. An Air Force captain called him threatened him via phone calls to be quiet about what he saw....

Let's not dismiss this as a conspiracy theory, let's call it what it is, a violation of a private citizen's rights.

I yelled to my family to check it out. My 14 year old son his friend and his friends mom who was dropping off her son all whittnessed the UFO. Soon after I started to monitor similar sightings. I was a skeptic prior to this day but I am a believer now. After seeing this UFO my whole thought proccess on life here on Earth is a lot differnt. We have to stay open minded about all that is unknown so that one day it will be known.

After doing a late night talk show for the past 15 years on all subjects paranormal, parapsychology and all matters in between, The 'X' Zone Radio & TV Show, I have yet to be convinced by anyone or anything that the UFOs that are spotted in the sky are from another planet (besides ours.) I believe that it is the UFO community that is spreading the disinformation about conspiracies and cover-ups to keep the UFO (from other planets and or dimensions) alive. The UFOlogy groups and researchers of today, are the CB Clubs of the 70s. They all have something in common - they want to believe and then need to be part of something. Everyone talks about evidence - but no one has any to produce. The experts and professional members of the military and scientific community shy away from close scrutiny when it comes to the legitimacy of their UFO sightings. The internet has proven to be the largest septic system ever invented by man... or was this too an alien doing?

Posted by: Rob McConnell | February 12, 2008 9:36 PM

Greetings to all.
For me the issue of whether or not there is any, is not the issue. The point is that
seem super stupid, they can give two stupidities advantage of the most stupid person on the planet. Can you imagine what that can be stupid to tell a thousand times more advanced technology to ours and use it only for resting on a tree?.
If I were an alien I would sure to make things more exciting.
Are You can imagine that I have a long and tiring journey behind me and the only thing I do is look at a tree?.
Or when I return the trip tell my boss: ho! only have a tree inspection ... But we scared some aliens travelling in a very rudimentary device.
Come on! (Says the boss) I have here a report from Smart18 thousand
years ago who said that the alien have yet dopamine in their brains and
two holes very strange in their bodies, the supreme leader is very interested in
these holes so you get in touch with Smart18 and return to see the evolution of these holes and not cursed forget you make some galactics maneuvers in front of their noses, the supreme leader will be happy to the supremacy of our smart.

If you have a unlucky day and see some UFO dont panic, dont let it some
special relevance.
Thanks for read this.

Rob McConnell-
So far the only person who has used the words 'UFO' and 'alien' in this forum is you.
UFO is by definition an 'unidentified flying object'. Now, you want to put the conspiracy origins where they belong; on the groups who give the most absurd explanations for these UFOs, which happen to be Government agencies. They didn't 'shy away' from the Stephenville sightings, they made the statement that they had ' NOTHING IN THE AREA THAT NIGHT' and a week later said 'WE HAD 10 F-16S IN THE AREA THAT NIGHT.' Sir, in a court of law, that testimony would be completely worthless- one of those statements was a lie, pure and simple.
I don't know how you can possibly say that there is 'no evidence' with all the recent videos of UFOs on record. Maybe you and James Mcgaha should both pull your heads out of the sand and go outside once in a while and look up. You never know what you may see.
There is something in our skies, something that defies all the laws of physics that are known to us here on this planet, in this day and age, therefore, by deduction, many believe it to be 'not of this earth/dimension/time' or whatever. We all simply want to know what it IS, not what it ISN'T.

Posted by: Rick | February 12, 2008 9:52 PM

What i find difficult to understand is why those aliens, who clearly have to come from so far away, after such a long trip those aliens just hover above us and then they just leave... Now if we human beings were to go to another planet and spot some living beings, anything slightly interesting, on it we would get down and try to know more, try to interact, wouldnt't we? Are aliens shy or are we so uninteresting that they don't bother to land?

Posted by: Sybyl | February 12, 2008 10:36 PM

The truth is out there.

Posted by: Kathy from Central Texas | February 12, 2008 10:36 PM

Sybyl,
You are assuming that these are aliens, you are assuming that they have just arrived, and you are assuming that they are from far away and you are assuming they are not interacting with us already...do you see the pattern here? You MUST have an open mind when investigating these UFOs, they may be military test craft, or maybe they are from somewhere much farther away, who knows?
You have asked very good questions, but there are a lot more questions as well, and so far no believable answers have come from the Government officials who seem to be quick to insult the intelligence of the public with absurd explanations such as F-16s or flares, or weather balloons. This is exactly the dilemma- so many questions, and no answers so far.

Posted by: Rick | February 12, 2008 10:44 PM

Angelina Joiner was a victim, indeed. The word came down from a military intelligence agency to the Justice Department to the newspaper's owners. She should never be alone. Neither should the witnesses.

I live right here in the middle of where the sightings were . I didnt see anything. I know who Ricky Sorrels is and believe what he says is true. I have talked to others who have seen this thing over the past few years. One as recently as December , in daylight.Another told me about it , a year back. I think it was 2 or 3 years eariler than when he was telling me. I am not involved in the UFO scene. Havent spoken to any of the persons that saw this recent sighting. Just a local here thats all. I have one observation. The person that told me about it a year ago said it was over a soil conservation lake. I havent spoken to Sorrels but know the area out there and there is a soil consevation lake on Mrs. Arnolds farm. Dont know if it was even that direction. Could they be getting water? Hydrogen power ? Or maybe just thirsty.
May be way off, but its just a thought.

She wasn't fired. She had given her notice a week earlier. Somebody called the paper and said she was contacting other media sources and looking for jobs on company time. When she was suppose to be working for the newspaper. That is why the confiscated her computer. She didn't want to be there, so she was asked to leave.

I suggest that every person who posted a comment (except "K" and Rob McConnell) write a letter to their Senator and congressman demanding full U.S. government honesty and disclosure of its UFO data.

Mr. McConnell is a UFO denier. He simply denies any and all UFO evidence, regardless of its merit. He lumps all UFO sightings in the same category as the hoaxers, misidentifiers, and crazies. He simply "believes" (with none of the supporting data that he demands from others) that no other explanations can be possible. That makes him as unreliable as any foil-hat wearing UFO nut-job.

Ill tell you what, that bunch down at the newspaper is a motley crew anyway. I think that reporter is better off. They just busted one of them for identity theft. Was robbing some old lady pretty bad. That vandenberg woman is loose as a goose. The high sheriff Tommy Bryant is on her long list of local bed partners.
She has been A R O U N D and still going around. I guess her husband just dont care. Not sure about the sheriffs wife. Hes a old filanderer from way back anyway.

I love threads and stories like this - they really show people's mettle!

Let's consider some key ideas on this issue (but not particularly this story, which is rather unremarkable compared to what is *already* in the public domain), yeah?

Mercury Astronaut Gordon Cooper (who orbited the Earth 22 times) filmed a saucer landing (on 3 legs) at Edwards Air Force Base in 1955. His testimony is on video in "Out of the Blue" which is (or was) on Google Video. Why has this been covered up?

US Air Force, FAA, Captain Robert Salas said [The security guard called and] said, "Sir, there's a glowing red object hovering right outside the front gate. I've got all the men out here with their weapons drawn." We lost between 16 to 18 ICBMs [nuclear-tipped InterContinental Ballistic Missiles] at the same time UFOs were in the area (they were shut down when the UFO appeared)[A high-ranking Air Force Officer] said, "Stop the investigation; do no more on this and do not write a final report." He has documents which show this was a real incident. Why was this covered up? Why have similar incidents at other bases such as Bentwaters UK also been all but covered up?

The key answer is not "aliens" but "energy". If you knew these craft were real (they are) you might start to think "what the heck powers them". Then you might wonder why you're still paying through the nose for gas and other energy. You'd also know that the whole idea of nuclear weapons is almost a joke because there is an external force which can come in and shut them down.

It's also why 9/11 was covered up - because of energy - Free Energy was used to destroy the WTC towers in 20 seconds. Key figures such as Steven E "Cold Fusion" Jones have been employed to steer people away from the Free Energy explanation.

But the tactics of creating fear and ridicule are no longer working as well

So let's have information - not insults.

Posted by: Jimbo | February 13, 2008 4:24 AM

Andrew Johnson has hit the nail on the head.

The governments of the world dont seem to care about the"alien" question - real or not. They just dont want to us to know that there is an alternative to fosil fuel and the more it "runs out" the more we are going to have to pay.Give a man an oil field and you will soon have a madman with gold plated uzi's in a display cabinet.

As I have proven, this remains the most highly classified subject in the U.S. Government (and a number of other governments). Hence the denial, ridicule and disinformation...

RE. Mr. Steiner's Article
New UFO Sighting Reported In Stephenville Texas
Fired Reporter Angelia Joiner Sparks Conspiracy Theories

Many interesting threads here... and this is good. Your elected officials need to know what you arer thinking. However there is authentic information and proof out there that is being ignored and hidden. Read on...

The lack of awarenes among journalists and the dismissive approach employed by Mr. Steiner reveal a complete lack of investigation of facts and finesse. This article demonstrates this clearly.

The UFO phenomenon and the reality of their presence has been a topic of on-going conversation among the CIA and other intell-organization since 1950 and quite probably earlier.

The CIA has over 200 documents at http://www.foia.cia.gov/search.asp

Here is a quote from just one of them ABOUT THE CIA PLAN TO DEAL WITH UFOS:

"...SO LONG AS A SERIES OF REPORTS REMAINS "UNEXPLAINABLE" (INTERPLANETARY ASPECTS AND ALIEN ORIGIN NOT BEING THOROUGHLY EXCLUDED FROM CONSIDERATION) CAUTION REQUIRES THAT INTELLIGENCE CONTINUE COVERAGE OF THE SUBJECT.

IT IS FURTHER RECOMMENDED THAT THE CIA SURVEILLANCE OF THE SUBJECT MATTER... BE CONTINUED. IT IS STRONGLY URGED, HOWEVER, THAT NO INDICATION OF CIA INTEREST OR CONCERN REACH THE PRESS OR PUBLIC, IN VIEW OF THEIR PROBABLE ALARMIST TENDENCIES TO ACCEPT SUCH INTEREST AS "CONFIRMATORY FACTS" OF THE SOUNDNESS OF 'UNPUBLISHED FACTS" IN THE HANDS OF THE U.S. GOVERNMENT."
SIGNED EDWARD TAUSS
3 AUG 1952
TITLE OF MEMO "FLYING SAUCERS"
This memo was released by the CIA recently.

There are dozens of these memos, all indicating the CIA and the FBI were collecting hard data on UFOs, squabbling with the Army in the 50's to examine crashed UFO discs, interfacing with other countries about their own UFO incidents, and alien bodies and debris. And these are only the ones they've voluntarily released. There is no telling how much more the CIA has that is of a highly senstive nature that you might never see unless you demand it through FOIA.

One can only guess how much more sophisticated and refined their approach to a media clamp-down has become since 1950.

Our organization is also in possession of a handwritten document by J. Edgar Hoover asking to see the remains of a crashed UFO.

Journalists please! - it's all out there for the taking! Stop the meaningingless rhetoric about 'he said she said' nonsense and do your homework. It'll take you a month to get through it all. Then you'll have on your hard drives information that will bring down the cover-up OVER NIGHT. Convince your editors to put a team together to do this and it'll get done in three weeks or sooner. The information is all out there.

What is being produced in articles like Mr. Steiner's is unfortunately simplitic fluff designed to ridicule and deny the truth. The quote above proves the CIA's plan is ensuring, to this day that it stays that way.

If the Washington Post had the courage to take on this issue as a major investigation, it would inaugurate another Watergate - a Cosmic Watergate that would uncover free energy sources - that contact has already been made with any number of intelligent ethical ET civilizations - UFOs are real - radar picks them up every day - government intell-agencies have developed similar craft - and fossil fuels will be replaced when the new energy sources are revealed to the world - and finally that secrecy and not democracy has BECOME government. This is only scratching the surface. This is GUARANTEED.

CAUTIONAARY NOTE: Highly sophisticated aerial technology, some of which is being seen now, perhpas in Texas, has been back-engineered from ET craft in the possession of Black OPTS. These may very well be the source of SOME recent sightings. But this does not explain other most current reports or the thousands of similar sightings in the 1940's - 50's - 60's and 70's when there was no back engineered technology. As a result the government will soon cleverly come forward to subdue public interest and reluctantly say, "It's been us all along." They will be able to convince the public of this and hope the frenzy goes away. It is up to journalists to prevent this from happening - at all costs. Otherwise the truth will be buried for another 60 years while government-intell-agencies destroy documents. This is not conspiracy thinking - it is the truth. There is a difference between what you have been told and what is really occurring.

Citizens cannot do this themselves unless a concerted awareness and sense of indignation is given birth among journalists and senior editors. Then the people will follow to demand more from you and their government.

Start at the CIA web site then contact Exopolitics Toronto or the Paradigm Research group or look at military witness testimony at the Disclosure Project to find out tons more about what is sadly lacking in journalism - the truth.

Hello, Timothy Good, I have your book, and I find it not only highly credible but also a great read.

Folks, my personal favorite incident was on February 25, 1942 over the skies of Los Angeles, usually referred to as "The Battle of Los Angeles." (I suggest you Google it.) The deniers want us to ignore amazing incidents like this one, just forget it happened. Rob McConnell, I'm curious as to how you explain away this incident. The people of that era couldn't.

The phenomena needs to be honestly and openly studied, not kept hidden by the federal government or published in the "off-beat" news section of the papers.

Kevin, your comments are amusing to say the least. :) Obviously, you are a high school student, with too much detention time on your hands, looking to liven up your dull existence by trolling to stir people up. Mostly, I believe they just laugh and shake their heads sadly at your total ignorance. There is indeed life in the universe besides ourselves. It is mathematically impossible for it to be otherwise. The universe is infinite, for all measurable intents and purposes. What are the odds on humanity being the ONLY intelligent life form in all of infinite existence?? :) Pretty bad, actually. Any betting man would go with the mathematical odds; aliens are indeed out there. Now junior, go back to copying your homework from the dunce sitting next to you.

Dear Mr. Steiner,
Before you continue to make light of this subject. I think you should be aware that this just happened:
After calling a close up video of UFO craft a hoax "TUBITAK" The Science and Technology Research Board of Turkey concluded after accepting the video for analysis:
"The objects sighted in the aforementioned footage that have a structure that is made of specific material are definitely not made up by any kind of computer animation nor are they any form of special effects used for simulation in a studio or for a video effect therefore in conclusion it was decided that the sightings were neither a mockup or hoax. "

Furthermore in the last part of the report, it was concluded that these objects in the sightings that have physical and material structures do not belong in any category ( such as; planes, helicopters, meteors, Venus, Mars, satellites, fire balls, Chinese lantern... etc.) and but rather fall into the category of UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects )...
This video is a multiple witness video which means while he was filming others who didn't know him were watching.

Kevin:

Among the many credible and highly qualified witnesses who has seen Unidentified Aerial Phenomena over the past sixty years are some of America's top military pilots and aircrews, including the crew of an RB-47 spy plane in 1957, a sighting that was confirmed by multiple radar and never explained (note that there were other cases involving RB-47s around that time period). Then there's the Santa Barbara Channel case from 1950, where the witnesses included Kelly Johnson (the man who designed the U-2) and one of his top test crews from Lockheed - who saw the same object independently of each other.

That's just TWO examples that I'm guessing you are unfamiliar with, despite what I'm sure is your towering intellect.

Oh, Paul, you guy. Go tower your own intellect.

When Paris Hilton farts, the media falls all over itself to cover the event.

"Documentary" coverage of Paris Hilton is what you might call a "cottage industry."

By comparison, documentaries about Adolf Hitler are nothing less than a "major industry." Authors and filmmakers have made more money off of Hitler than any other single individual in the history of humankind.

About halfway between the Paris Hilton industry and the Adolf Hitler industry you'll find the UFO industry.

The UFO industry remains a full notch above the Bigfoot industry and now, thanks to Stephenville, may soon overtake the Lindsay Lohan industry in gross annual sales.

But will that finally raise UFOs to the profit levels of the Loch Ness industry and the Kennedy assassination industry?

Only time will tell.

Whether these are intelligently designed and operated craft, or an instance of mass halucination; whether over Stephensville or Mt. Ranier, this phenomenon is the most profound mystery that faces mankind. Even if the sightings are hallucinations, the implications are enormous.

Posted by: BLASe | February 13, 2008 8:20 PM

You're Dead. Film at Eleven...
There are people who profit from books, dvds, etc. in studying this phenomenon (I am sure those t-shirts rake in big bucks!) But in reality most of them spend their personal income doing research that science refuses to do. Also, credible witnesses rarely profit and instead face job loss and public ridicule by reporting these events. Would you dare be so courageous? I agree with what Bill O'Reilly said after the gentlemen from Stephensville were on his show...that they were telling the truth, and that it made them patriots.
Please, folks in Texas...there are decent, good, reasonable people who are taking you seriously. Keep up the fight and stand by your stories! The truth will never come out unless there are more people in this world like you. God Bless!

Why would a super-smart alien civilization choose to "toy" with us in some hide-and-seek, peek-a-boo fashion?

Why wouldn't they prefer to sit down and calmly discuss the facts like one adult to another?

Posted by: You're Dead. Film at Eleven | February 13, 2008 9:09 PM

This is in response to:

"Yea, Texas hicks spot UFO, really breaking news there! How come no one with all their teeth or a 3 digit IQ ever sees these thing? Cause its all BS! These characters got nothing better going on in their lives so they either bed the livestock or make up some stories. Really now."

Posted by: Kevin, NY | February 12, 2008 11:00 AM

First, Kevin obviously has not seen something in the sky that cannot be explained, and that's ok.

Calling the citizens of the great state of Texas "HICKS" is NOT ok.

Kevin speaks like he is of higher intelligence than most and displays what is commonly observed by people who must resort to jokes and cliche anecdotes in order to cope with their own personal fear of the unknown.

Obviously Kevin is, as Fog Hat calls it, a "Fool For The City" and my guess is he would not be the type to sit at the bar with someone who lives under God's Great Expanse, in otherwords, Rural America.

Other than just to call Kevin a dumbass, let me explain that:

1. UFOs are real.
2. UFOs are seen 90 to 95% more in less densely populated areas than in major metropolitan areas.
3. The higher the education level of a ufo witness, the better quality of the report.

So Kevin, if you can't be civilized and drink a beer with the locals in a small town and do more than just insult them, then do us all a favor and shut the hell up.

Now Kevin, you stated:

"These characters got nothing better going on in their lives so they either bed the livestock or make up some stories. Really now."

Bed the livestock?

Kevin, really now, was that necessary?

Especially since your Mother had sex with a Mule. Look at you, you're the JACKASS!

If you truely want to see an unidentified flying object, move to a farm or cattleranch in any midwestern state.

Make sure there are some major high tension power lines running the backside of your property, and a good sized creek of running water on your property that feeds from a major tributary that is flowing downwind of a nuclear power plant, or a chemical weapons arsenal.

Then, after your ranch work is done, actually take the time to look up at the sky at night.

You never know, you might just see something unexplainable.

Then of course, when you did see a ufo, you could be sure to show your intelligence level and really make us as a human race so PROUD.

God Bless Texas!

Posted by: Skeeter | February 13, 2008 10:09 PM

kev.....you might mean "it's" instead of "its" which is a contraction of "it is" instead of the possessive"its". Just guessing, but we all hicks had us some school marms that taught us them thar differences. And guess what, we know an unusual aircraft when we see one. So stick that in your crack cocaine and smoke it.

Posted by: jk | February 13, 2008 10:39 PM

Now that's funny! Skeeter is right.

And since I make my living as a scientist who relies on taxpayer grant money to pay the mortgage, I am unable to effectively research this phenomenon.

My peers refuse to even talk about ufo research. My family and job come first, but I am concerned about how the ufo subject is treated.

There are honest organizations out there that actually do quality investigating with an eye on scientific protocol.

The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is one such organization. If anyone is curious about this mystery, they owe it to themselves to look into the quality research done by this important organization.

Other than that, Don't Ask Me.

Posted by: Don't Ask Me | February 13, 2008 10:40 PM

The most logical explanation I can think of is that the large dark rectangles frequently seen are military heavy lift balloons. They have been rumored for years. They are thought to be able to move huge loads about anywhere on earth with little chance of being detected as they aren't metal and fly near the outer limits of the atmosphere.

What I can't figure out is why they would still be secret if the stealth fighter and bomber have been rolled out to the public.

The Pheonix and Stephenville sightings were both linked to F16s by witnesses and the military. It isn't so far fetched that the balloons need a distraction when they move...especially if they are just going up. They may take a good long time to get to any height, especially if carrying a huge load. Remember the lights in the second phase of the Pheonix sightings that were explained away as aviation flares? That may have been true. Lights make such a nice diversion.

Anway, this doesn't account for the extreme speeds that are sometimes observed...so maybe they are aliens.

Posted by: Owl | February 13, 2008 10:41 PM

Hammo, sounds like you're on to something big ! Please tell more to expose this for what it is. What can we do to get this info out to the public ?

Posted by: jk | February 13, 2008 11:11 PM

My sister and her family live 8 miles out of Stephenville, and they also saw the lights on two occasions, and witnessed the fighter jets right after. My sister is a nurse, and her husband a firefighter. They are leaving the area for two weeks because she said they are literally terrified of these "things". They also shot videos, but will not release them because they are afraid the Gvt. or someone will go after them. I saw the videos and they were awesome, but I don't have any copies. They wouldn't give them to me to keep. Something is DEFINATELY going on down there...I'd leave too.

Posted by: stcart | February 14, 2008 12:26 AM

Its all real, but there's something about Texas that these "lights in the sky" are looking for here. But what?

And why does the government (or associated air forces) know about them before we do?

I saw varieties of same colored lights, one illuminating and three diagonal lights outside of our suburb here in ____. And it had followers, may they be UFOs or Air Force fighters, chased them at unbelievably fast speeds and circled them -multicolored lights on the followers. No I've never been in Stephenville and didn't give UFO's a chance to be true before seeing this.

Something's going on here in Tejas.

Posted by: Jesse | February 14, 2008 1:37 AM

There is for sure something going on here. There are lots of people that have saw things in the sky around Dublin and Stephenville. I never have. I taked to one person that saw something in the daylight. He said he was heading east on Hwy 6 out of Dublin. When he passed the high school he looked across the pasture to his right(oposite the school) .He said he saw a very large shiney metal structure in the distance. He said it scared him that there was something so big across there that he never saw before. He said he couldnt tell ifit was on the ground or not.Thought "they" were building a huge structure in the distance maybe. The next morning he went by and it wasnt there.
This was around Christmas.
Other than this I havent heard any other descriptions except lights.
Is this what others have seen , large metal looking thing?
I know another person that told me they saw something in the clouds over Lake Proctor .
Said it was a light in the clouds.
I know of another that saw something quite some time back over Bundrants lake.
Mabe it takes on water ,them makes clouds to hide in. LOL

Yes, it would be good if any video taped evidence is analyzed by an authorized and qualified agent of MUFON.

Our resources include the ability to look at video taped evidence at the pixel level. The ability to take an objective look at any video taped evidence from Texas, (or anywhere else where ufos are spotted) is important in our ongoing scientific investigation of ufos for the benefit of mankind.

All witness testimony and evidence is protected from unwanted scrutiny. MUFON is an International Non-Profit Volunteer Organization with the resources to truley investigate.

Kenneth Cherry, the Texas State Director for MUFON and his group of Certified Field Investigators are doing a fantastic job of handling this ongoing ufo situation in the great state of Texas.

If anyone reading this forum has any information concerning current or past ufo events in Texas, or anywhere else, please report it to MUFON's On-Line UFO Report Form.

You can remain anonymous. We are searching for any clue from current or past sightings that can help lead us to the revealing of the absolute truth about this perplexing mystery.

No! Nooooo! Say it ain't so, Darpa! The Walrus program -- the fringe-science agency's awesomely, almost insanely, ambitious plan to build an aircraft carrier-sized blimp -- is over, Defense Technology International discovers.

Congress had always been skeptical about the idea of an airship that could schlep 500-1000 tons halfway around the world. (After all, the Pentagon's current go-to airborne hauler, the C-130 Hercules cargo plane, holds about 22 tons.) But blimp-lovers had pushed the "tri-phibian" (air, land, sea) Walrus as a way to make American forces less reliant on deep-water ports, foreign bases, and billion-dollar airports to wage war.

But it wasn't meant to be. Darpa took away the fiscal year 2006 funding for the Walrus. And the agency's 2007 budget request calls for "termination of the Walrus effort."

Now, the Army's Surface Deployment and Distribution Command had its own plans for a heavy-hauling airship, too. I'm checking to see if they're still interested. Keep your fingers crossed.

UPDATE 9:46 AM: Don't get too bummed, blimp fans. Darpa's plan for an all-seeing airship that tracks an entire battlefield at once is still intact."

'Darpa took away the fiscal year 2006 funding for the Walrus. And the agency's 2007 budget request calls'

OK, looks like two years of funded work got done some how. Size is about right, where else will the Army get tons of heavy stuff to play loading the huge monster. Fort Hood Army joy-ride, They also have a large number of large 'loud' copters. Airforces' copters are much more quiet and do not bug my Cows even when hovering 50 ft up.
Of course not much seem to bug my cows, calfs lookup once in a while.

Even if this airship existed in physical form, I highly doubt it would be capable of outrunning F'16's. If it did indeed have capabilities that have been described by witnesses, I doubt the program would have been dropped. ;-)

These life forms were obviously lost otherwise what was their shuttle doing uncloaking in the middle of Texas. What will we do when the mother-ship comes and it's bigger than Africa?
Do not underestimate the tentacles of power of the president!

Whether it's a video camera or a camera phone or a Kodak Brownie, everyone I know has easy access to at least one camera of some kind.

This makes me wonder why the U.S. military might be conducting top-secret test flights within spitting distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

By the same token, if everybody and their dog now owns a camera, how come nobody has ever taken a simple, crisp, clean, daylight picture of a UFO? The clearest photos of UFOs have consistently been revealed as hoaxes. What's left is generally ambiguous images of distant lights moving across the nighttime sky.

Which raises another question: Why do the vast majority of UFO sightings occur at night? Are aliens afraid of being seen in the daytime?

To me that seems like some kind of bad plot element from an M. Night Shyamalan movie. You can see the lights of the hovering spaceships at night, but during the day they're invisible. You only know the ships are still there because every so often a bird clunks its head on one of them and falls to the ground.

I'm just guessing here, but I think any civilization that can "cloak" itself during the daytime might also have figured out some way of turning off their lights after dark.

I am the alien you all have been talking about, my ship has been monitoring Texas. I find it a very pleasant place. I am usually up in Chicago during the summer but right now it's way to cold for my tiny body and my ship, which runs better in the warm weather. Hopefully we can all be friends, we're kind of scared to make contact right now, because your leader Bush frightens us, and would use our technology to control the world....

I see that nobody here even knows the definition of "UFO". It doesn't mean flying saucer of aliens, it simply means somebody saw something in the air and didn't know what it was. Period. I see UFOs all the time because I'm not well-studied on aircraft. Kevin's right, though, smarter people search for rational explanations instead of jumping on the supernatural bandwagon. It has nothing to do with Texas (there are irrational people everywhere); the fact is, there is absolutely ZERO evidence that any object is of extra-terrestrial or supernatural origin. Zero. When you educate yourself, you learn rationality and logic. With rationality and logic, belief in wild claims fades.

The UFO's are all over the globe ... not just Stephenville, Texas!
They are here, peacefully, and only wish for us to see them, visably, now. We are going to be seeing many many hundreds of them from now on.
They are here to help us clean up "Our Earth." Let's face it we need all the help we can get ... right?
They have advanced equipment that will greatly assist in this effort!

If I were an alien, the last thing I'd want to do is make contact with this planet.

1. The beings here don't know how to take care of the planet - uncontrolled pollution everywhere. What's next - using the sun as an incinerator or trash dumps on Mars?

2. They treat anyone that's different from them with extreme suspicion and, as often as not, they're hostile and aggressive, even with peoples of various color/race/religion within their own countries.

3. They wage war at the drop of a hat with peoples of other countries and for what? Oil, the power to tell another country what it can or can't do, religious differences, ad nauseum...

What would a being like the ones described above do to an alien life-form whether it comes in peace or not? Kill it and dissect it or just cage it?

If I were an alien, I think I'd find a great observation place and wait for the place to self-destruct.

Posted by: SmalltowninTX | February 15, 2008 8:46 PM

I used to be skeptical of these sightings but it's harder for me to believe that all these people are lying for no apparent reason than it is to believe they've really seen something.

These sightings seem to be worldwide and the only reason I can think of for any aircraft to be lit up at night is so it will be seen.

If someone or something can build aircraft with the reported properties, surely they can something that can't be seen at night.

Quite an emotional spectrum revealed by the slightest of jabs at the status quo. What does this reveal about the mental stability of our race as a whole and the beings that make it up? To quiver in anger and attack those who dare to question your current reality by even raising the question of a flying device of unknown origin being in the skies of Texas, shows how unstable most persons perception of reality has become. Our race is paranoid, ignorant and apparently suicidal, are these the pressure of overpopulation beginning to manifest or merely the instabilites caused by insignificant amounts of social interaction in a technically advanced society that isolates itself from each other and begins to crumble?

In an infinite universe there are certainly other beings. Technology has always bridged unreachable distances. We explore the ocean bottom today, the merest of dreams only a century ago. Can we really state that anything is impossible, given time and resources?

The government has always lied to the citizens, it seems to be part of the job. Look at Viet Nam, JFK, Enron, Savings and loan scandal, Tuskegee Institute tests, etc etc etc. Why should we beleive them now? Try to learn to think analytically and disregard the blatant propaganda, in the end you will benefit, rather than those who wish to control what you believe and how you react.

The choice is yours, learn what the world really is before you leave it.

Posted by: puretruth | February 16, 2008 5:43 PM

Amen, puretruth.

I think all the comments you made are perfectly valid, but I also think they're going to fall on deaf ears.

Why? Because you're being way too serious. The only thing I've ever learned about "human civilization" is that we're so cheap and goofy and predictiable you'd have to be nuts to take us seriously.

I think the most honest thing we can do is to make fun of our own goofiness.

Example? During a low point in their respective careers, both Chuck Connors and George W. Bush sunk to the level of playing "Cowboy in Africa."

Connors in 1967, Bush even as we speak.

Is that funny or alarming or just plain stupid?

I just want to know what kind of medical care plan Hillary is offering them to get more illegal aliens to vote for her.

Seriously we have no way to verify any of this are these craft U.S. form another country are they making these stories up to cover for advanced weapons technology for WWIII.

It seems like many have seen something they cannot explain but have no idea what it may be.

I was driving Past Tonapah and saw stealth fighters long before they became public.

Could you imagine the consequences to free energy or a cure to cancer at the general public level of greed and competition the effect would be like killing the wolves in Yellowstone with the population soring to the point of mass starvation.

Perhaps were are just not morally and spiritually ready for advanced technology
and the elites know the common man would kill them and the human race with unlimited power. A parent would not give a baby a stick of dynamite and matches to play with.

Posted by: greg collins | February 17, 2008 2:30 PM

Kevin is right even if somewhat ill-mannered. But then, so am I - I consider those who think extra-terrestrials are visiting us in spacecraft capable of traversing interstellar distances, only to leave no tangible proof where the government COULD NOT COVER IT UP, to be complete fools, certainly mistaken, probably ignorant, possibly stupid, and potentially retarded. The will to believe and the ability for self-deception are unmatched in those of you believing in this children's fable. Somehow I'm asked to believe that a civilization capable of harnessing the unbelievable energies required to cross untold parsecs of space to visit Earth are too stupid to avoid the clutches of the government and too timid to avoid landing in a large city in broad daylight to meet the natives directly.

Are you insane? Are you serious? And not only once, but repeatedly, hundreds or thousands of times every year, year after year, stretching into pre-history. My God, people, you are wasting your lives on this crap, please, PLEASE stop this insanity and find another hobby more grounded in reality, perhaps hunting for leprechauns.

Posted by: Eric in OP | February 18, 2008 2:35 AM

A follow-up comment: all of these visitations have left no proof acceptable by science - tell me again WHY these aliens have bothered to visit us without saying hello? If they're so damn smart, why is it that they're spotted by anyone with 3 teeth in their head?

Posted by: Eric in OP | February 18, 2008 2:37 AM

I think the only aliens that come here are the "redneck" aliens. That's why they're always crashing, getting spotted by their fellow 'tards in rural areas, etc. I can see it now, "Hey, Mxerldi! Hold my intoxicating beverage and watch this!"--and we have Roswell.

If anyone truly has any verifiable evidence that we have been visited by extrasolar life forms, why don't they present it to the James Randi Educational Foundation? Personally, I believe that in a universe the magnitude of ours, there must be other planets capable of giving rise to life. However, the distances between star systems in our neck of the woods makes visits from other systems highly improbably.

Where's the evidence? Crop circles that, oddly enough, are identical to those made by people with boards and ropes? If the aliens are really there and all that great, why not redwood circles? Why don't they just land on the front steps of Fox News or CNN headquarters? With all the cell phone and other digital cameras out there, how come nobody can ever get pictures that look like anything but fakes or lens flares?

I live in Texas and my I.Q. is well into 3-digits. There ARE unexplained things going on here, which apparently scare some close-minded idiot bigots to death. "THERE'S NO PROOF!" they cry. Open your eyes moron. There is evidence and it's all over the place.

Posted by: Polly | February 18, 2008 8:22 AM

I still aint seen them yet. I look at the sky everytime I go outside. It is open and clear way out here where I live. We sometimes go all day without a car coming by. I am in the sticks but no UFO's. I talked to people that seen it.Some havent went on the record at all but they saw the same thing. There is something out there. I have a hard time believing its not ours.
Why would it have the lights on it ? I assume if it has lights it wants to be seen, for whatever reason. To get attention, avoid mid air crashes or whatever. Now think about it , it wants to be seen. Maybe it has lights because its the law.
Wow a law abiding UFO. If it is aliens at least theyre trying not to be illeagal aliens. LOL
Or are they. Maybe its Mexican technoligy. You know ,when it comes to getting accross the border they can get creative.
I think we will know the truth soon. When we hear it we will know it is the truth.

Since December 2007 UFO's have been spotted all over the country, in places like LA, over the Great Lakes and New England. Over the past ten years UFO mass sightings were recorded in Chicago O'Hare, over Phoenix and Mexico City, as well as in Texas. But in none of those cases had the immediate press response of the Stephenville case. The frequency of these sightings is on a steep rise and that should be a concern to all of us. Firing reporters and silencing witnesses doesn't seem to be stopping these sightings. Pretending this isn't happening hardly seems a smart way to deal with such an alarming phenomena.

Posted by: Lulu | February 19, 2008 1:27 PM

I was born and raised in Stephenville. My mom and dad still live there. They know one of the people that saw whatever it was, and that person said that it was extremely bright, like a welding arc when it took off. They know this person well, and they say he is very credible. About 40 people said that they also saw it.

Initially, the military said that they were not in the area, but then later recanted, indicating that they were indeed conducting exercises in the area at the time. Also, sometime after the intial sightings, my parents saw F16's flying low and fast, as if they were using afterburners. That's not normal for that area.

Now, I read what Mr. Sorrells had to say in the Empire Tribune about being harrased and threatened by the military. His story does not sound credible, and his accounts seem a little more fantastic over time.

Finally, for Kevin in NY, I have worked all over the world in the last 30 years as an engineer. The people in Stephenville are pretty much like everyone else in the world, including New York. I tend to believe that they saw something with no palusible explanation at this time.

New Books Expose Patented UFO Technology, Exotic Propulsion Systems

New technology discovered in the patent office details amazing UFO type vehicles and exotic propulsion systems. Use of this technology will revolutionize industry, travel and more.

(PRWEB) February 19, 2008 -- Luke Fortune has released over 3400 pages of proof that man has had the ability to build UFO craft, in replicable form, over the last 100 years. This disclosure effort includes:

260 patents explaining the science of various propulsion systems that have been seen by witnesses that have been misidentified UFOs
How these craft can be glowing balls of light invisible to radar
How these are saucer, sphere, cigar, or triangle shaped
What the technology is that nullifies gravity and inertia keeping the pilots safe from high speed maneuvers and right angle turns that would kill ordinary pilots in conventional aircraft
The different forms of technology that can be implemented into various craft to cause these phenomenal propulsion abilities:
Electromagnetic/Electrokinetic propulsion (Electrogravitic)
Plasma thrusters
Magnetohydrodynamic propulsion
Inertial propulsion
Fusion, fission, and anti-matter propulsion technologies
Even traditional airfoil/air-flow technologies, for people who refuse to grasp the other available technologies
Technology is in encyclopedic format, with a Primer for ease of explanation.
Online videos to educate how this technology works, presented in easy to grasp layman vocabulary.
Prospectus available on how this technology can be used to improve the global economy, raising the standards and quality of life for all people

Excerpts from the books include:

1) The Flying Saucer is a vertical take off and landing vehicle for space flight. The vehicle comprises a metal sphere rotating around a hub to which are affixed four magnetic coils in a circle equidistantly with a fifth coil at the center which is surrounded by a hollow circular glass tube filled with rubidium gas, tube and magnets with axes vertical. The inner wall of the tube is made of more dense glass with a phosphor coating, and the top of the tube has a less dense glass outer coating on top of the more dense glass. When an electric motor rotates a vertical column, supported by a bearing at the center of the hub which is attached to the top and bottom of the sphere, the metal sphere rotating around the magnetic coils causes a continuous buildup of electric charge on the sphere and magnetic field, which heats and excites the rubidium gas in the tube so it interacts with the phosphor layer to produce light which is slowed down by the hot rubidium gas; causing a radial Einstein time change over distance, causing increased centrifugal force radially, causing acceleration of sphere rotation, resulting in more mechanical energy than needed to produce the slowed light by the previously mentioned process, with excess energy turning the electric motor as a generator to charge the battery.

2) The present invention relates in general to craft propelled by magnetohydrodynamic effects and methods of propulsion and control thereof, and more particularly to heavier-than-air craft which are propelled by interaction of magnetic fields upon electrically conductive fluids such as plasma, surrounding the craft.

3) The present invention relates to conversion of energy, and in particular to the use of electrical potentials for producing forces to cause motion of a structure by direct operation of electric fields, thus providing a thrust sufficient for propelling a vehicle.

4) This invention relates generally to propulsion devices, and more particularly to a propulsion device based on plasma acceleration principles and adapted for use in a space environment.

5) The invention relates to the use of the collision of matter and antimatter as a means of propulsion in a spacecraft, to the control system for said engine and to a block diagram of the connections for same, in which all of the functions are divided into modules.

Luke Fortune is a certified paralegal and began investigating the UFO phenomenon in approximately 1997. After having a clear viewing of a plasma propulsion craft, he began researching the archives of the US patent office, and of other countries patent offices, to try and locate UFO technology. His searches over the next ten years led to the accumulation of all the data, and more, that would become the UFO How-To series. Each book in this six volume series is over 500 pages in length, 99% of the content are complete patents, with a recent addition of a primer volume at 118 pages, "The Basics," designed to simplify the understanding of the encyclopedic series, and make the science of UFO propulsion systems comprehensible to the average person.

If this is true then all the bickering will stop and the truth about these creatures and the UFO's will become known as truth. Then we will get past that and the flood of information will start. Plenty of sincere, respectable people have reported seeing things they honestly can't explain. And plenty of people have perpetrated hoaxes and faked a lot of photographs just to get themselves a little attention.

The latter group obviously makes it harder for the former group to be taken seriously.

As for me, I belong to the middle group: I've honestly seen a lot of things I EXPECTED to see. Years ago I was part of a mountain climbing team that got separated during the descent by a snowstorm. My half of the team reached the base of the mountain as the storm was lifting. We spent the next hour with our eyes glued to the upper slopes, anxious to spot the other half of our team. During that time I literally saw rocks move. Through my binoculars I could see dark objects in the white snow which were roughly the size and shape of people. And the more I watched those objects, the more they seemed to be moving down the slope. For several minutes I was absolutely certain those rocks were our teammates.

Of course that's just an extreme example. On a regular basis my brain temporarily "morphs" an object into something it isn't. When I'm speeding on the freeway my brain tends to convert all kinds of approaching vehicles into a highway patrol cruiser.

So, in conclusion, plenty of people have seen inexplicable things that are probably real. And plenty of people have pretended to see things that aren't real at all. And the rest of us are just trying to squeeze reality into a size and shape that matches our preconceived notions.

In light of all that, I honestly, truly feel we should all venture down to the corner pub and hav
