The artist: Vampire Weekend.
The sound: Paul Simon follows David Byrne to the Rhode Island School of Design before trekking to "Graceland." (Or, as Vampire Weekend says on its MySpace page: "We are specialists in ... 'Upper West Side Soweto.'")
The song: "Mansard Roof" (though "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" is even more Simonesque, and I sorta like "A-Plus" and "Oxford Comma" better; but there are no videos, and I'm too lazy to look for legal MP3 links - and besides, this video is hilarious, as the band pokes fun at itself with all those yacht-rock references).
