The show has been chaotic for him, partly because Id's co-founder, programmer John Carmack, got stuck on a plane that was grounded for having a mechanical issue, so he missed his appointments today. We forgot to ask Hollenshead what he thought of the "Doom" movie.

Weirdest ploy to generate publicity: A cape-wearing, skateboarding bulldog, making an appearance in front of the Convention Center to promote a steering-wheel gadget that plugs into game consoles for use with racing games.
