Another Blog to Keep Tabs on the Local Scene

Of course, lots of businesses are ramping up their blogging efforts to boost their presence on the Web. But now even the Greater Washington Board of Trade has launched its own Regional Biz Blog, which shares tidbits of information about the economic condition of the area. The Board of Trade's main job is to promote Washington to companies and employees looking to move here, so it commissions studies that take in-depth looks at the region's assets and downfalls. It looks like the blog covers a whole slew of industries and occupations, but technology will definitely be one of them.
The blog is mostly compiled by Alan Smith, senior manager of communications for the BOT. He's been an avid blogger in his personal life as well. He said he's pretty happy he now gets paid to blog at work.

Thanks, Kim, for the mention! And yes...I'm the primary contributor at the moment, but we'll be pulling in other folks from staff.
We're still finding our voice and looking to reach out to other biz blogs. So say hello if you think we should be friends!
