K-State Gets Local Player

Former Carroll standout Jamar Samuels, who played at Patterson (N.C.) School this past season, is bound for Kansas State. Chalk one up for the D.C. Assault-Dalonte Hill connection. Weird item though: The Kansas City Star reports that Samuels will skip his senior season to enroll this fall. This was Samuels' fourth year of high school.
