Little Hoya Going To Be A Cav

Just got off the line with Georgetown Prep football coach Dan Paro, who passed along word that TE Colter Phillips verbally committed to Virginia recently. Phillips, who is 6-6 and 240 pounds, is the younger brother of All-Met OL Andrew Phillips, who went to Stanford.

"It all happened in a whirlwind," Paro said. "He got official offers in a five-day period from Stanford, Wake Forest and then traveled to Virginia a couple times and committed pretty early. Then he started getting looks from UCLA and other places. He had good tape and he's grown since last year. He really kind of took off."

Prep's other potential Division I-A players are OL-DL Edgar Sheppard and TE-DE Jimmy Johnson. RB Marcus Dowtin, who transferred to Fork Union Military Academy, has more than a dozen scholarship offers.
