ESPN Creates All-Star Football Game
Well, it appears ESPN is getting into the high school all-star game business, creating the ESPNU High School All-American Game on Jan. 5 in Orlando. The game will be broadcast on ABC and looks to compete against the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio and televised on NBC.
Don't know what anyone else thinks, but is there really a need for this? Maybe it's a moneymaker from a business standpoint, though I doubt it. More likely is it's a way to build the ever-growing ESPN brand. But high school all-star games generally are boring, poorly-attended and create little interest. Thoughts?
