Little Hoya Heading North

Georgetown Prep guard Garvey Young has committed to play basketball at Vermont, where he'll play for former Catholic University head coach and Maryland assistant coach Mike Lonergan. Young led the Little Hoyas in scoring last season, averaging 14.8 points per game last season.

"It was the best overall fit," said Garvey's father, John Young. "He looked at a lot of places, had a lot of offers. What it came down to is the guys on the team. You meet people and you either like them or you don't, you click with them or you don't. He liked them best at the University of Vermont.
