Fredericksburg Sophomore Quite Impressive

The trip to Spotsylvania County took nearly three hours on a Friday afternoon. But it was quickly easy to see why many college recruiters are making the same trek. Courtland sophomore Josh Hairston, a 6-8 forward, has quite a game. Comfortable shooting on the inside. Willing to attack around the basket. Aggressive on the boards. All with plenty of poise and seemingly a terrific knowledge of the game. Villanova assistant Doug West was there Friday. Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgetown and Ohio State have offered scholarships. It's a good bet one of those schools will have someone in attendance Wednesday for the Battlefield District semifinals at James Monroe.

Hey Josh - next time you're heading to Spotsy County, let me know - I can get you there a whole lot quicker than 3 hours. Not sure if you know - but I live in Spots County (not far from Courtland). Yes, I drive 180 miles a day in support of Largo. I use to live in Forestville - then had a home built in Spotsy in 06. Initially thought I'd find a school to support closer to home - just haven't been able to leave my kids at Largo. So trust me, I've got 3 really good routes - depending on traffic. Talk to you soon - will you be at our game tonight? Rusty.
