Vaughn Leaving Seminoles, Other Hoops Items

Got a bunch of basketball items to report. First, Reston native Julian Vaughn is transferring from Florida State. He was a much-heralded recruit for Leonard Hamilton and the Seminoles.

Next, colleague B.J. Koubaroulis passes along that All-Met guard Anthony Winbush has committed to play for Loyola. His teammate, guard Travis Berry, is bound for Virginia Union.

Finally, colleague Alan Goldenbach notes that former McDonough guard Rob Lowery is headed to Dayton. Lowery spent the past two seasons at Cecil Community College in North East, Md.

Goldenbach also reports that from the H.D. Woodson City Title championship girls' team, guard Tyche Mozie will sign with Maryland-Eastern Shore and junior center Jeniece Johnson has committed to North Carolina State.

Any ideas to where Vaughn will go? I've heard he's trying to come back closer to home, is that true?
