More on the Evans/Terps Saga

Where to start after the holiday weekend? Well, it broke on Friday afternoon, but the discussion about Tyree Evans and Maryland parting ways is still plenty hot. There had been rumors that all of Evans' criminal record had not surfaced; indeed, there was a plea to a handgun charge in exchange for dropping a drug charge.

What a mess. Bad for the university. Bad for Gary Williams. Bad for administrators. Somewhere, somehow this all could have been avoided.

And this column hits the nail on the head. Read it. The school making this announcement on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend is nice timing. When better to put out news you don't want to deal with?
